SECTION VI - TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

===============================================================

***Routes of exposure and acute effects***

LD50 of material: N/A LC50 of material: N/A

Exposure Limit: ACGIH-TLV-TWA: 5.0 mg/m 3, oil mist; 100 ppm, petroleum distillates.

Inhalation: May cause irritation of the nose and throat, dizziness, nausea or headache.

Skin: May cause mild irritation, drying, defatting or cracking.

Eyes: May cause mild irritation or redness.

Ingestion: Danger! Do not ingest! Aspiration of petroleum products into lungs can cause chemical pneumonitis, which may be fatal. May cause irritation of mouth and digestive tract, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

Chronic Effects: Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis.

Carcinogenicity: Not listed as a carcinogen by IARC or ACGIH-TLV. Mutagenicity, teratogenicity, and reproductive effects: N/A

Sensitization to Material: See inhalation. No evidence of skin of respiratory sensitization.

Synergistic Materials: N/A

=============================================================================================================

SECTION VII - FIRST AID

=============================================================================================================

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. If breathing stopped, give artificial respiration. Call a physician immediately.

Skin: Wash affected area with mild soap and water. If irritation persists, call physician.

Eyes: Flush with lukewarm running water for 15 minutes, holding eyelids open. Call a physician immediately.

Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. If vomiting occurs naturally, have victim lean forward to avoid aspiration into lungs; afterwards, rinse mouth with small amounts of liquid until oily taste is gone. Call a physician immediately.

=============================================================================================================

SECTION VIII - PREVENTIVE MEASURES

=============================================================================================================

Spill, leak or release: Eliminate all sources of ignition. Wear required personal protective equipment. Prevent spills from entering watercourses or sewers. Soak up with inert absorbent such as sand or vermiculite, and then collect with any contaminated earth in container for disposal.

Waste disposal: Do not dispose of wastes in local sewers or with normal refuse. Material may be incinerated or delivered to a waste treatment/disposal facility, if in accordance with federal, provincial and local regulations regarding disposal.

***PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT***

Respiratory Protection: Not normally required. If product is sprayed, misted or heated, wear a NIOSH/MSHA approved air-purifying respirator.

Ventilation: Mechanical exhaust recommended.

Protective gloves: Impermeable gloves such as neoprene.

Eye protection: Chemical safety goggles.

Other protective equipment: Overalls and boots.

***STORAGE AND HANDLING***

Handling procedures and equipment: Avoid skin or eye contact. Avoid breathing vapors. Keep containers closed when not in use.

Storage requirements: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from strong oxidizing agents.
